Today I send an email to Les Landes, the author of the book “Getting to the heart of employee Engagement”. I read his book end of 2013 and it so resonated with me that I put together a one-pager and told everyone I knew about it.
Whilst writing I realized the thoughts in my head started to crystalize – the beautiful effect of writing.
I formulated my 3 “Universal” truths:
- All people want to be embraced
- All people are capable of embracing
- You can embrace yourself but it feels much better to be embraced by someone else
Here an excerpt of what I wrote Les:
“What I find so intriguing about the Embrace idea: It is extremely simply and yet can be enormously powerful. Just put your arms around somebody and make them feel they are worthy, that they belong, that they are human.
It needs a movement. A movement of the hearts and body :-) A movement that embraces everyone and has a mission to get all human beings embraced.
It does not start with me or you – it starts with us.
Ideally it is a co-creation concept. And it needs many co-creators…
I learned today from Adria Goodson that Movements are:
“Messy, iterative, and innovative Leader-full and require leadership Ask more of you, not less” Change the World, Join a Movement
I want us all to start a movement!
And whilst watching the TED talk I really feel like embracing Adria…
