My son said me at breakfast: “I don’t like Monday’s. That day after the weekend just isn’t mine” That is when I told them about what happened in Nepal this weekend.
I explained to them that millions of people have been affected by the massive earthquake that struck the capital of Kathmandu. Thousands of people died, and an uncountable number of houses have been destroyed. Nepal was already not a wealthy country, and it will not be easy to recover the damage.
That is why I just donated twice. Once before breakfast and once after breakfast when my daughter said: “Mama, I want to donate 10 EUR of my pocket money as well.”
Send the people in Nepal your love, pray if you want but also consider the money that is urgently needed to provide food, clothing and medicine.
Here are some options to help:
My donation went to Global Giving. I have been a newsletter subscriber since more than a year now and all the updates I have received from the local projects show to me, that the local teams they support, are able to use the donations in very impressive and effective ways.
