If I tell my daughter I am going to do something and she buys into the idea she really makes me do it :-)
So yesterday during the carnival parade we approached at least 40 people and gave them our warm fuzzies.
Not surprisingly most people had absolutely no idea what warm fuzzies were supposed to be. We explained them that these little wool strings bring happiness and luck and they could pass them on again to other people. The reactions were very positive!
We are making more pompoms this morning as we did not cater for everyone’s favourite colour. (We asked them what colour happiness has to them.) Today there is another parade so we are determined to spread some more warm fuzzies :-)
Researching the story behind the warm fuzzies we found that Claude Steiner wrote a warm fuzzy story that was translated into many languages. At first I thought the story was cute but not quite that spectacular but then I saw the story in full action and was totally impressed by the acting skills of bunch of teenagers that performed Claude’s story at a Donate Life event.
They really put a smile on my face. I love the laughter of the audience. Big applause from me, very well done!
